Wieler Homes

In mid-March 2004 Ralph Rapson visited the North Carolina State University
College of Design in Raleigh, NC to discuss his Greenbelt Homes.

After 60 years, we’re going build the Greenbelt. All of you young architects, don’t get discouraged if you can’t get your house built, this one only took me 60 years.

NCSU College of Design Dean Marvin Malecha with Ralph Rapson

Ralph Rapson is one of the living masters of modern architecture. I’m thrilled that he’s bringing the Greenbelt to our backyard. It’s a design that has had such a tremendous influence on modern architects that I show it to my students every year.

Marvin Malecha, Dean of the N.C. State University College of Design.

I am extremely honored to work with the Rapsons and play a role in making the Greenbelt accessible to homebuyers everywhere. I must tell you that the best part of my job is getting new sketches and drawings from Ralph and just sitting back, contently admiring them.

Nathan Wieler
