1. Feature.
  In this issue we interview Geoff Warner from Alchemy Architects about their recently announced weeHouses line.
     

2. Recent additions. The following projects have been added since our last newsletter.

  Royal Homes announced the availability of their Royal Q Series in Ontario and Michigan.

  Wieler Homes released details on their two Ralph Rapson designed Greenbelt homes in late January.
 

We added the Takeaway range of prefab designs by Gabriel Poole. Mr Poole was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1998 for his lifetime contribution to Australian architecture

  Hans Georg Dieterle's MobilChalet is in the fabzone.
  We added Peter Haimerl's Cocobello Mobile Atelier concept to the fabzone.
 

From Knoxville, Tennessee comes the MAN study in manufactured housing by Thurlow Small Atelier in collaboration with Irina Verona.

  We added Interloop A/D's KLIP House concept to the fabzone.
   
3. Recent updates and announcements. The following projects have been updated since our last newsletter.
 

MK Architecture announced availability of the Glidehouse. A prototype is currently under construction. Glidehouse information sessions have recently been held in San Francisco and Seattle. Information on upcoming meetings will be available at www.livemodern.com

  Alchemy Architects announced an extended line of weeHouses. They anticipate updating their web site with further information in the near future.
  LV Home is on the road: Information sessions have recently been held in San Francisco and Seattle. Information on upcoming meetings will be available at www.livemodern.com
  Clever Homes updated their web site several times with further information on their CH Series.
 

Jennifer Siegal's Office of Mobile Design (OMD) has announced a partnership with MOD-ECO to focus on bringing OMD's manufactured, modular and mobile architecture to the public. swellhouse and portable house are both profiled by MOD-ECO.

  • The HOME House Project is back on display at Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) in Winston-Salem North Carolina until April 3, 2004.
  • Affordable Housing : Designing an American Asset will be on view from February 28 through August 8, 2004 at the Smithsonian’s National Building Museum in Washington, DC.
  • Transportable Environments 2004, 3rd International Conference on Portable Architecture and Design will be held in Toronto, Canada April 28-30, 2004. Keynote speakers include Lot/EK, Chuck Hoberman and Dr. Alberto Perez-Gomez.
